Discover Your Passion and Ignite Your Enthusiasm for Life!

BLOG - Ignite your passion.png

Imagine waking every morning full of energy, excited at the prospect of another day doing what you love to do, knowing deep down you’re on track and you’re fulfilling your purpose.

If this sounds like you, then I applaud you for steering your life in the right direction. But, this may not be what your daily reality looks like. Instead, you pull yourself out of bed to face another day of routine, of endless tasks and responsibilities that don’t fulfil you.

When there is nothing positive to look forward it can be easy to fall into the trap of repeating the same thing day in and day out, it may be a reason you can begin to feel unhappy.

Albert Einstein famously said; “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”. If this describes you, then I want to open your mind to the possibility that you can steer your life in any direction. You have the ability to be, do or have anything you want.

Imagine if you discovered your passion? What do you think that would look, sound and feel like?

Passion is described as an intense desire or enthusiasm for something, so imagine if your life included the very thing that brings excitement and happiness to your very being. Your life is flourishing and if your life is flourishing, then you’re more likely to be motivated with increased self-confidence and self-belief.

So, imagine if you loved building things and you worked in construction, or you had a project to renovate your own home? What if you were passionate about flying and you were a flight attendant, a pilot or your job gave you the opportunity to travel?  Think how rewarding it would be if you wanted to help young people and you were a youth worker, a teacher or you had the freedom to volunteer at your local youth centre?

Sounds pretty damn awesome to me! In fact, I’m typing away here feeling invigorated at the very thought of people discovering their passion. So, if you can identify the thing that you are passionate about, it may literally transform your life. It could drive you to work harder, keep you positive and motivated to keep going when things get tough. Copy of DonaPerera(2).pngYou should be more satisfied with your life when doing the things, you love. This satisfaction may well benefit your relationships, improve your mental and physical health, do wonders for your self-esteem. You may also experience periods of face pain caused by the constant smile on your face because you feel happy, and if you’re happy, then your family is happy too!

We all express and show our passion in different ways, that’s what makes us individuals. Passion can mean something different to everyone as it drives us to act on our desires and dreams. Dona had a passion for community and that fired her up to start her tea business and bring communities together (Meet Dona Perera). Les had dreamed building his own motorhome and taking it on road trips to escape the day to day grind of work, so he did just that (Meet Les Davis).

Both Dona and Les had a dream, they had passion and they used this to build their commitment, focus and drive to achieve what they set out to do. So, do you know what you are passionate about? If it’s something, you’re not really sure about, well now is the time to find out.
